BBC Governance

Michael Starks’ has written a fascinating analysis of the governance of the BBC and what we need to bear in mind when recommending new models of BBC governance and regulation to the Government.

Michael worked for the BBC for 34 years as a Television Current Affairs Producer on programmes like 'Panorama' and later as a BBC senior manager and director of major projects.

In 2005 Michael became an Associate of Oxford University's Programme in Comparative Media Law and Policy and a member of the Senior Common Room of Lady Margaret Hall. His published books include The Digital Television Revolution: Origins to Outcomes and A Traveller's History of the Hundred Years War in France.
